About Bjelašnica
Bjelašnica is one of the mountains that hosted alpine skiing at the 1984 Winter Olympics. The ski area around Babin Do is the most accessible from Sarajevo, with lifts, rentals and mountain lodges. In summer the same slopes turn into hiking and mountain-biking terrain with wide views.
For a quieter excursion, the remote village of Lukomir and the Rakitnica canyon lie on the far side of the mountain.
